1. Do not give out your contact info.

Privacy is one of the key features that meetMoi offers. We keep users' contact information private at all times so that you may explore and chat with singles without worrying about revealing any personally identifiable information.

Never give out your contact information. If a user gives you his or her contact information right away, you are in no way obligated to communicate with them that way and should continue to message through meetMoi.

2. Block bothersome members

If someone is bothering you, you may block them by selecting 'Block' on their profile.

3. Report inappropriate behavior

If someone sends you lewd or threatening messages, please report them immediately and we will investigate and the user may be banned. We encourage you to report bad behavior so that meetMoi can continue to be a safe and fun community.

4. Identify scammers

Most of the members of meetMoi are here looking for a companion and love. However, there are some scammers out there. Help us identify them by looking out for some tell-tale signs. Scammers often:

- Are registered internationally and attempt to contact US users

- Request money

- Immediately request contact information

- Ask the user to contact them via an SMS short code requiring a confirmation PIN

- Tell sob stories about deaths in their family or losing money.

5. Report underage users

Also, all members of meetMoi must be 18 years of age or older. If you suspect that a user is underage, report them immediately. We take this issue very seriously and while we police profiles, we cannot catch every underage user because they often lie about their age until late in communication with another user.

6. Do not believe sob stories

Users that claim to have lost family members or money in a recent tragic accident may be trying to play off of your emotions and are often trying to lure you into sending money or additional contact information.

7. Do your research

If you feel that you are getting to the point where you are interested in meeting the member, do your research first. Use search engines to validate details that you know about the member to make sure they are being truthful. However, don't worry if you don't find what you're looking for on a search engine, most people's lives are not fully recorded on the internet.

8. Fill out your profile

Avoid unwanted attention by filling out your profile with details describing yourself (hobbies and other interests) and your perfect match. Letting others know exactly what you're looking for will fend off people who are looking to message every member out there. Do not, however, provide any personally identifying information in your profile for your own safety.

9. Trust your gut

If something seems off, trust your gut because you're probably right. If someone proclaims their love right away, they could be trying to trick you. If someone can't keep their stories straight, they're likely hiding something. At this point, you should cut off contact with the user.

10. Meet in a public place

When you feel comfortable meeting the member, absolutely meet in a public place and tell at least one friend or family member when and where you are meeting. Do not go to the person's home and do provide your own transportation to the meeting point.
